Transparent membrane over the front of the eyeball which protects the pupil and iris.

Located behind the iris, produces fluid which assists in focussing the lens by thickening it.

Vitreous Humour

Jelly like substance which suspends and protects the lens.

Macula

Section of retina which absorbs excess light.

Fovea

Section of the macula with high density of cone cells for sharp vision.

Optic Nerve

Relays information from the eye to the brain.
