Superior military technology. The Spaniards
had horses, muskets, canons, metal helmets
and armor. Aztecs had battled other Indian
rivals to gain power and had many enemies.
The conquistadors made alliances with these
Indians who provided Spain with a lot of fighting
power. The native woman, named Malinche,

weren't enough goods for the number of people

1. They supplied the parent companies with
raw materials that the parent company could
turn into useful merchandise. Like cotton to
clothes and wood to furniture.
2. They were only allowed to purchase
merchandise from the parent country so they
increased the flow of money into Europe.

policy place on colonists?
They could not produce their own merchandise
like clothes or furniture and were forced to buy
them from the parent country. They couldn't trade
with any other country except the parent country.
