What is a GAL ?

Global Address List (GAL).
Lists all mail-enabled objects in Active Directory (AD). It can include users, contacts, groups, public folders, and resources. |

Giving permissions for an additional GAL ?
|
To give a set of users permissions for an additional GAL, all the users must be in the same security group.
You need to remove their permissions for the default GAL because it will be the largest and they will be members of it. You then assign the users permission for the additional GAL using the ADSIEdit utility. |
