List the 2 methods for inserting worksheets in a workbook.
1. Open Insert menu & select the worksheet command
2. Position the mouse pointer on the worksheet tab that you want the new worksheet to appear before and click the secondary mouse button.
3. Select the Insert command. From the Insert dialog box, select the icon that represents the type of worksheet that you want to create. Click ok.
When panes are frozen, what effect does it have on scrolling?
When you scroll vertically, the rows that are frozen always appear on the screen.
When you scroll horizontally, the columns that are frozen always appear on the screen. when you press cntrl + home you return to the cell where you set the frozen panes, not cell A1

Chart Wizard leads you through 4 steps in which you select the type of chart the data source, chart options and chart location. When you are finished with the wizard, the chart is embedded on a worksheet.
When you press F11 the chart is placed on its chart worksheet. The chart uses the default chart type. You must make any modifications yourself, without any assistance.
When you have a 3demensional column chart, what is the value axis referred to as?

If you want to use Excel's Auto Online feature what conditions must be met?
As long as your data is set up in a consistant manner, you can use Excel's Auto Outline feature to create an online for your worksheet. For the Auto online feature to work, rows containing formulas must summerize data that is either all above the summary cannot be mixed. Also, columns containing formulas must summerize data that is either all to the left or all to the right of the summary column. The direction of summary can not be mixed.
Is it possible to hide non-consectutive rows and columns?

An arguement that appears in bold is a required arguement.
Why does using the ROUND function increase accuracy in your worksheet?
If you do not use ROUND, Excel uses all decimal points when calculating formulas. If you ROUND the value it ensures that only that number of decimal places is used.
Can you nest functions other than IF statements?
You can nest all functions (as long as they work together)
What is the difference between the Error Checking and the Trace Error buttons?
Error checking: starts the error check of the whole worksheet, states the error and offers a solution.
Trace checking: Merely highlights errors.
When you are tracking precendents, what does it mean when you see an arrow with a spreadsheet icon?
It means that a cell related to the selected cell is on another worksheet.
If you leave tracer arrows on the screen, do they print?
Yes. If you do not want them to print, you must erase them first.
What 2 things are wrong with the range name 2000 Data?
1. A range name cannot start with a number
2. A range name cannot have a space in it.
Which commands do you use when you want to create several range names once?
Open the Insert menu and select name command. Select create names from the submenu.
If you are using a range name in a formula, but decide to delete the range name, what should you do?
Change the formula back to using the cell references (ie remove the range name from the formula) and then delete the range name.
When you are going to paste a list of range names on a worksheet, what should you be careful to do?
Select a cell away from any data on the worksheet. Otherwise when you use Paste List, the list will replace any data.
How do you select non-adjacent worksheet tabs?
1. click the first worksheet
2. hold down the Cntrl
3. click another worksheet tab
4. release the cntrl key when finished.
What do you do if you realize that you do not want certain cells to use Data Validation rules anymore?
1. select the cells.
2. open the Data Validation dialog box
3. click the clear all
4. click ok
