Active Cell
The currently selected cell in an Excel worksheet.
Cell
The rectangle where a column and row intersect in an Excel worksheet or Word table.
Cell Reference
The column letter heading followed by the row number heading that identifies a worksheet cell, such as B5.
Collated
To print the pages in a document or file in a specific order.
Columns
The cells that display vertically in an Excel worksheet or other table. In Excel, cells are labeled with headings from left to right across the top of the worksheet, beginning with A through Z, then AA through AZ, and so on.
Footer
Text or graphics that appears in the bottom margin of each page in a document, presentation, or worksheet.
Formula Bar
Located next to the Name box in the Excel program window and displays the value or formula of the active cell.
Freeze Panes
To lock specified rows or columns into place in the Excel worksheet window.
Header
Text or graphics that appears in the top margin of each page in a document, presentation, or worksheet.
Name Box
