-enduring Pt is well hydrated to decrease risk of renal toxicity (water diluted chemo drug)

ANTINEOPLASTIC:

Antimetabolites; Action

Inhibit DNA production in the S phase of the cell cycle. They are most effective in rapidly dividing cells, preventing cell replication and leading to cell death.

ANTINEOPLASTIC:

Antimetabolites; indications (what kind of pt use them? )

Various leukemias and some GI and basal cell cancers. Normally administered as a combination therapy because the cells develop a resistance quickly

ANTINEOPLASTIC:

Antimetabolites; pharmacokinetics

Metabolized in liver and excreted in urine
