Leading queston
|
Leading questions are not allowed on direct examination. A leading question is one that suggests the answer.

Non-responsive answer
|
A non-responsive answer is one that provides more information in the answer than what is asked for.

Calls for narrative
|
Whenever a question is open-ended and requires more than a short response from the witness, the question is essentially requesting a narrative response which is generally not permissible.

Assumes facts not in evidence
|
Whenever a question incorporates facts that have not been entered, the question assumes facts that are not in evidence

Speculation
|
Speculation occurs when the witness is guessing at the answer and has no personal knowledge of the answer.

To be admissible evidence must be logically relevant. Evidence is logically relevant if it tends to prove or disprove a material fact at issue.
