Composition- • directly elected by EU voters every 5 years • known as MEP's and represent the EU people • the number of MEP's for each country is roughly in proportion to its population • currently • UK has 75 members (751 in total)
Role-
• limited legislative powers Can debate and pass some EU laws with the council based on the commissions proposals
• democratic supervision (supervisory role) No direct law making power
• supervising the budget Make sure council is managing budget correctly |

Composition- • 28 judges- one from each member of state • re-appointed every 6 years • sit in groups of 3 or 5 generally • work on a unanimous decision no dissenting judgements • president- renewed every 3 years • the government of each member state decides on who they wish to be their judge

Role-
Judicial role- failure to fulfil an obligation • the communisation will take action against any member of state that they believe are not adhering to EU law • if the ruling is still not followed then the court can issue a fine
