The Economy in the region is primarily composed of extraction of raw materials 3. The central government controls much (or all) of the economic power in the region (the industry is all state run) (prof added during review) 4. The Central government (as a result of controling the economy) is the main beneficiary of the economic activity - very little, if any, is left for the peoples of the region |
