What is a section 4?
Emergency order.
Only needs 1 doctor and 1 ASW (so 1 doctor less than Section 2).
Lasts 72 hours, no treatment, but can convert to S2.

Commonly used by GPs.
What is a section 5?
Compulsory detention of patient who is already in hospital informally, and trying to self discharge.
What are the two Police sections?
Section 135: a P.C may enter the patient's house and remove them for 72hrs.
Needs social worker warrant.

Section 136: As above, public place. No warrant.

Patient believes partner is cheating on them.
