Esophageal CA

Presents with contestant, progressive dysphagia without preceding symptoms. Supraclavicular nodes maybe palpable. Weight loss also occurs. Refer pt for WU.

It's an non-neoplastic, non-infectious disorder that occurs after eating, with bloating, distention and pain with upset stomach.
Associated with alcohol intake, smoking and stress. Also associated with NSAID, aspirin, anticholinergic, theophylline, tranquilizer and common also in pregnancy. Treatment: r/o pregnancy. Give 8 weeks trial of H2 blocker. If no improvement in 7-10 days or if get worse, refer to GI. |
