Corrosion/Solution
When a cliff erodes as a result of weak acids in the sea.
Hydraulic Action
When water traps air in pore spaces, faults and crevices, compressing the air, which in turn exerts pressure on the rock, causing it to break.
Abrasion
Friction rubbing away the rocks, like little pebbles rubbing against the surface of a rock chipping bits off.
Attrition
As the rocks and pebbles are being swept along they bang against each other and they split up or little bits get knocked off, making them smaller and smaller, causing a chain reaction.
