Carpe Diem

(Latin) 'Seize the day' An ideology developed during the late 16th century in which we humans must live for the now, not the tomorrow

Connotation

The emotional associations surrounding a word or phrase, as opposed to its literal meaning

Conflicts

Climax

Act III on Freytag's pyramid. A hiatus on the plays action occurs, leading to the technical climax of the play
