The story of “A & P” takes place in a small town in New England, and is about a man named Sammy who is also the narrator in the story. Sammy is a working teenager who works at the checkout line at a local grocery store named “A & P” until one day he notices something rather unusual on an ordinary day of work. Sammy describes three girls who have walked into to the A & P grocery store who later get confronted by the manager "Lengel" which leads to a confrontation between sammy and Lengel in attempt to rescue the girls.

“The Glass Menagerie” is a famous play, where its action is taken from the memories of the narrator, Tom Wingfield, who is also a character in the play. The play is set in St. Louis in 1937 in the Wingfield apartment. Tom provides for his mother Amanda and sister Laura by working in a shoe warehouse.

Right off the bat the play opens with a description of the Wingfield apartment. Williams uses a description of the setting to establish the prison like feeling the Wingfield apartment brings for the whole family.

V for vendetta is a futuristic tale that unfolds in the famous city of London, England. In this time England is a fascist state which is ruled by the Norsefire party under an evil dictator named Adam Sutler. Until a freedom fighter which refers to himself as “V” blows up parts of the city similar to the way terrorist do in modern times in order to take control of the government and save Great Britain.

V is a government activist who takes matters into his own hands when it comes to freedom in Great Britian. He believes that if he destroys parliament then it will change the direction his nation is heading in.
