Summary of Messiah’s history, which is set forth more in detail in the fifty-third chapter. “Just as many were astonished (accompanied with aversion, Jer_18:16; Jer_19:8), etc.; his visage, etc.; so shall He sprinkle,” etc.; Israel in this answers to its antitype Messiah, now “an astonishment and byword” (Deu_28:37), hereafter about to be a blessing and means of salvation to many nations (Isa_2:2, Isa_2:3; Mic_5:7).
thee; his — Such changes of persons are common in Hebrew poetry.
marred — Hebrew, “disfigurement”; abstract for concrete; not only disfigured, but disfigurement itself.
more than man — Castalio translates, “so that it was no longer that of a man” (compare Psa_22:6). The more perfect we may suppose the “body prepared” (Heb_10:5) for Him by God, the sadder by contrast was the “marring” of His visage and form.

As many were astonished at thee “As many were astonished at him” - For עליך aleicha read עליו alaiv. So the Syriac, Chaldee, and Vulgate in a MS.; and so likewise two ancient MSS.
His visage was so marred more than any man - Most interpreters understand this of the indignities offered to our blessed Lord: but Kimchi gives it another turn, and says, “It means the Jewish people, whom are considered by most nations as having an appearance different from all the people of the earth. “Poor Jews! they have in general a very disagreeable look, partly affected, and partly through neglect of neatness and cleanliness. Most Christians think they carry the impress of their reprobation on every feature of their face. However this may be, it should never be forgotten that the greatest men that ever flourished as kings, judges, magistrates, lawgivers, heroes, and poets, were of Jewish extraction. Isaiah was a Jew; so was Paul, and so was Jesus of Nazareth.

Mar 15:5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
Mar 15:6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
Mar 15:7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
Mar 15:8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
Mar 15:9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
Mar 15:10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
Mar 15:11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
Mar 15:12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
Mar 15:13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
Mar 15:14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
Mar 15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
Mar 15:16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
Mar 15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
Mar 15:18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
Mar 15:19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
Mar 15:20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.
Mar 15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
Mar 15:22 And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.
Mar 15:23 And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
Mar 15:24 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
Mar 15:25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
Mar 15:26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Mar 15:27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
Mar 15:28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
Mar 15:29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,
Mar 15:30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.
Mar 15:31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
Mar 15:32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
Mar 15:33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
Mar 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Mar 15:35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
Mar 15:36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
Mar 15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
Mar 15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
Mar 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
Mar 15:40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
Mar 15:41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
Mar 15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
Mar 15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
Mar 15:44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
Mar 15:45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
Mar 15:46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
Mar 15:47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

Mar 15:1 아침에 수제사장들이 즉시 장로들과 서기관들과 온 공회와 함께 협의하고 예수님을 결박하여 끌고 가서 빌라도에게 넘겨주니
Mar 15:2 빌라도가 그분께 묻되, 네가 유대인들의 왕이냐? 하매 그분께서 그에게 대답하여 이르시되, 네가 그렇게 말하는도다, 하시니
Mar 15:3 수제사장들이 여러 가지로 고소하나 그분께서는 아무 대답도 하지 아니하시므로
Mar 15:4 빌라도가 다시 그분께 물어 이르되, 네가 아무 대답도 하지 아니하느냐? 그들이 너를 대적하려고 얼마나 많은 것을 증언하는지 보라, 하되
Mar 15:5 예수님께서 여전히 아무 대답도 하지 아니하시니 빌라도가 이상히 여기더라.
Mar 15:6 이제 그 명절이 되면 백성이 어떤 죄수를 요구하든지 그가 죄수 하나를 놓아 주었더라.
Mar 15:7 거기에 폭동을 일으켜 결박된 자들 중에 바라바라 하는 자가 있으니 그는 폭동 중에 살인을 저지른 자라.
Mar 15:8 무리가 크게 소리를 지르며 자기들에게 해 주던 대로 해 줄 것을 그에게 요구하기 시작하거늘
Mar 15:9 빌라도가 그들에게 대답하여 이르되, 너희는 내가 유대인들의 왕을 너희에게 놓아주기 원하느냐? 하니
Mar 15:10 이는 그가 수제사장들이 그분을 시기하여 넘겨준 줄을 알았기 때문이더라.
Mar 15:11 그러나 수제사장들이 사람들을 선동하여 도리어 바라바를 놓아 달라 하게 하매
Mar 15:12 빌라도가 다시 그들에게 응답하여 이르되, 그러면 너희가 유대인들의 왕이라 하는 이 사람은 내가 어떻게 하랴? 하니
Mar 15:13 그들이 다시 소리를 지르며, 그를 십자가에 못박으소서, 하매
Mar 15:14 이에 빌라도가 그들에게 이르되, 어찌된 일이냐, 그가 무슨 악한 일을 하였느냐? 하니 그들이 더 심하게 소리를 지르며, 그를 십자가에 못박으소서, 하니라.
Mar 15:15 이에 빌라도가 그 사람들에게 만족을 주고자 하여 바라바는 놓아주고 예수님은 채찍질하고 십자가에 못박게 넘겨주니라.
Mar 15:16 군사들이 그분을 끌고 프래토리움이라 하는 집회장으로 들어가 온 부대를 함께 모으고
Mar 15:17 그분께 자주색 옷을 입히고 가시나무로 왕관을 엮어 그분의 머리에 씌우고
Mar 15:18 경례하기 시작하며 이르되, 만세, 유대인들의 왕이여! 하고
Mar 15:19 갈대로 그분의 머리를 치며 침을 뱉고 무릎을 꿇어 경배하더라.
Mar 15:20 그분을 조롱한 뒤에 그들이 자주색 옷을 벗기고 도로 그분의 옷을 입혀 십자가에 못박으려고 그분을 끌고 나가니라.
Mar 15:21 마침 알렉산더와 루포의 아버지 구레네 사람 시몬이 시골에서 와서 지나가매 그들이 그에게 억지로 예수님의 십자가를 지게 하고
Mar 15:22 그분을 끌고 골고다라 하는 곳에 이르니 이것을 번역하면 해골의 장소라는 뜻이라.
Mar 15:23 그들이 몰약(沒藥)을 섞은 포도즙을 그분께 주어 마시게 하였으나 그분께서 받지 아니하시더라.
Mar 15:24 그들이 그분을 십자가에 못박고 그분의 옷들을 나눌 때에 저마다 어느 것을 가질까 하여 그 옷들을 놓고 제비를 뽑더라.
Mar 15:25 때가 세 시가 되매 그들이 그분을 십자가에 못박으니
Mar 15:26 그분의 죄명을 적은 글은, [유대인들의 왕], 이라 되어 있더라.
Mar 15:27 그들이 예수님과 함께 강도 둘을 십자가에 못박으니 하나는 그분의 오른편에, 하나는 왼편에 있더라.
Mar 15:28 이로써, 그가 범죄자들과 함께 계수(計數)되었다, 하신 성경 기록이 성취되었더라.
Mar 15:29 지나가던 자들이 자기 머리를 흔들고 예수님께 욕하며 이르되, 아하, /성/전을 헐고 사흘 만에 짓는 자여,
Mar 15:30 네 자신이나 구원하고 십자가에서 내려오라, 하고
Mar 15:31 그와 같이 수제사장들도 서기관들과 함께 조롱하며 서로 이르되, 그가 남은 구원하였으되 자기는 구원할 수 없도다.
Mar 15:32 이스라엘의 왕 그리스도는 지금 십자가에서 내려와 우리로 하여금 보고 믿게 할지어다, 하니 그분과 함께 십자가에 못박힌 자들도 그분을 욕하더라.
Mar 15:33 여섯 시가 되매 어둠이 온 땅을 덮어 아홉 시까지 계속되더라.
Mar 15:34 아홉 시에 예수님께서 큰 소리로 외쳐 이르시되, 엘리, 엘리, 라마 사박다니? 하시니 이것을 번역하면, 나의 하나님이여, 나의 하나님이여, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까? 하는 뜻이라.
Mar 15:35 곁에 섰던 사람들 중의 몇 사람이 이것을 듣고 이르되, 보라, 그가 엘리야를 부른다, 하고
Mar 15:36 한 사람이 달려가서 해면(海綿)을 식초에 적셔 갈대에 달아 그분께 주어 마시게 하며 이르되, 가만 두라. 엘리야가 와서 그를 내려 주는가 보자, 하더라.
Mar 15:37 예수님께서 큰 소리로 외치시고 숨을 거두시니라.
Mar 15:38 이에 /성/전의 휘장이 위에서 아래까지 둘로 찢어지니라.
Mar 15:39 예수님을 마주보며 서 있던 백부장이 그분께서 이같이 외치시고 숨을 거두시는 것을 보고 이르되, 진실로 이 사람은 하나님의 아들이었도다, 하더라.
Mar 15:40 멀찍이 떨어져서 바라보는 여자들도 있더니 그 중에는 막달라 사람 마리아와 또 작은 야고보와 요세의 어머니 마리아와 살로메도 있더라.
Mar 15:41 (이들은 또한 예수님께서 갈릴리에 계실 때에 그분을 따르며 섬기던 자들이요) 또 이 외에도 그분과 함께 예루살렘에 올라온 여자들이 많이 있더라.
Mar 15:42 이 날은 예비일 곧 안식일 전날이므로 이제 저녁이 되었을 때에
Mar 15:43 아리마대 사람 요셉이 와서 담대히 빌라도에게 들어가 예수님의 몸을 달라고 간청하니 이 사람은 존경받는 공회원이요, 역시 하나님의 왕국을 기다리는 자더라.
Mar 15:44 빌라도는 그분께서 이미 죽으셨을까 하고 이상히 여겨 백부장을 불러 죽은 지 오래되었느냐 묻고
Mar 15:45 백부장에게 알아본 뒤에 그 몸을 요셉에게 내어 주매
Mar 15:46 요셉이 고운 아마포를 사서 그분을 내려다가 그것으로 싸고 바위 속에 판 돌무덤 속에 두고 돌을 굴려 돌무덤 문에 놓으니
Mar 15:47 막달라 사람 마리아와 요세의 어머니 마리아가 그분을 둔 곳을 보더라.

Luk 23:1 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.
Luk 23:2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
Luk 23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.
Luk 23:4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.
Luk 23:5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.
Luk 23:6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.
Luk 23:7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.
Luk 23:8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
Luk 23:9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.
Luk 23:10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
Luk 23:11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
Luk 23:12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
Luk 23:13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
Luk 23:14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:
Luk 23:15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.
Luk 23:16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.
Luk 23:17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
Luk 23:18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:
Luk 23:19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)
Luk 23:20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.
Luk 23:21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
Luk 23:22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
Luk 23:23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
Luk 23:24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
Luk 23:25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
Luk 23:26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
Luk 23:27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
Luk 23:28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
Luk 23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
Luk 23:30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
Luk 23:31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
Luk 23:32 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
Luk 23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Luk 23:35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
Luk 23:36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
Luk 23:37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
Luk 23:38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Luk 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
Luk 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Luk 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
Luk 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Luk 23:44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
Luk 23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Luk 23:47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
Luk 23:48 And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
Luk 23:49 And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.
Luk 23:50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
Luk 23:51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
Luk 23:52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
Luk 23:53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.
Luk 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
Luk 23:55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
Luk 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

Luk 23:1 그들의 온 무리가 일어나 예수님을 빌라도에게 끌고 가서
Luk 23:2 고소하기 시작하여 이르되, 우리가 이 자를 보매 /우리/ 민족을 그릇되게 하고 카이사르에게 공세 내는 것을 금하며 스스로 그리스도 곧 왕이라 하더이다, 하매
Luk 23:3 빌라도가 그분께 물어 이르되, 네가 유대인들의 왕이냐? 하니 그분께서 그에게 대답하여 이르시되, 네가 그렇게 말하는도다.
Luk 23:4 이에 빌라도가 수제사장들과 사람들에게 이르되, 내가 보니 이 사람에게는 아무 허물도 없다, 하매
Luk 23:5 그들이 더욱 사나워져서 이르되, 그가 온 유대인 거주지에서 두루 가르치고 갈릴리에서부터 시작하여 이곳까지 와서 백성을 선동하나이다, 하니
Luk 23:6 빌라도가 갈릴리라는 말을 듣고 이 사람이 갈릴리 사람인지 물어
Luk 23:7 그분이 헤롯의 관할에 속한 줄을 알고 곧 헤롯에게 보내매 그때에 헤롯도 예루살렘에 있더라.
Luk 23:8 헤롯이 예수님을 보고 크게 반가워하니 이는 그가 그분에 대해 많은 것을 들었으므로 보고자 한 지 오래였고 또 그분께서 행하시는 어떤 기적을 볼까 바랐음이더라.
Luk 23:9 그때에 그가 많은 말로 그분께 물으나 그분께서 아무것도 대답하지 아니하시니
Luk 23:10 수제사장들과 서기관들이 서서 맹렬히 그분을 비난하더라.
Luk 23:11 헤롯이 자기 군사들과 함께 그분을 무시하며 조롱하고 화려한 긴 옷으로 차려 입혀 빌라도에게 도로 보내니라.
Luk 23:12 바로 그 날 빌라도와 헤롯이 서로 친구가 되었으니 이는 그들이 전에 원수 사이였음이라.
Luk 23:13 빌라도가 수제사장들과 치리자들과 백성을 함께 불러
Luk 23:14 이르되, 너희가 이 사람이 백성을 그릇되게 만드는 자라고 하여 내게 끌고 왔도다. 보라, 내가 너희 앞에서 그를 조사하였으되 너희가 고소하는 일들에 대하여 이 사람에게서 아무 허물도 찾지 못하였고
Luk 23:15 내가 너희를 헤롯에게 보내었으나 그 역시 찾지 못하였도다. 보라, 그가 행한 일에는 사형에 해당하는 것이 없느니라.
Luk 23:16 그러므로 그를 징계하고 놓아주겠노라, 하니
Luk 23:17 (이는 그 명절이 되면 그가 불가피하게 반드시 한 사람을 그들에게 놓아주어야 하기 때문이더라.)
Luk 23:18 이에 그들이 일제히 소리를 지르며 이르되, 이 사람을 없애 버리고 바라바를 우리에게 놓아주소서, 하니
Luk 23:19 (그는 그 도시에서 일어난 어떤 폭동과 살인으로 인해 감옥에 갇힌 자더라.)
Luk 23:20 그러므로 빌라도가 예수님을 놓아주려 하여 다시 그들에게 말하였으나
Luk 23:21 그들이 소리를 지르며 이르되, 그를 십자가에 못박으소서, 그를 십자가에 못박으소서, 하매
Luk 23:22 빌라도가 그들에게 세번째 이르되, 도대체 그가 무슨 악한 일을 하였느냐? 나는 그에게서 죽일 이유를 찾지 못하였나니 그러므로 그를 징계하고 놓아주리라, 하더라.
Luk 23:23 이에 그들이 큰 소리로 재촉하며 그분을 십자가에 못박기를 요구하니 그들과 수제사장들의 목소리가 이기니라.
Luk 23:24 이에 빌라도가 그들이 요구한 대로 행하도록 선고하고
Luk 23:25 그들이 원하던 자 곧 폭동과 살인으로 인해 감옥에 갇힌 자는 놓아주고 예수님은 넘겨주어 그들의 뜻대로 하게 하니라.
Luk 23:26 그들이 예수님을 끌고 가다가 시골에서 오고 있는 시몬이라는 구레네 사람을 붙잡아 그에게 십자가를 지워 예수님 뒤에서 지고 가게 하더라.
Luk 23:27 백성과 또 그분으로 인해 슬피 울며 애통하는 여자들의 큰 무리가 그분을 따라오더라.
Luk 23:28 그런데 예수님께서 /몸을/ 돌이켜 그들을 향해 이르시되, 예루살렘의 딸들아, 나를 위해 울지 말고 너희와 너희 자녀들을 위해 울라.
Luk 23:29 이는, 보라, 날들이 이르리니 그때에 사람들이 말하기를, 수태하지 못하는 자와 해산하지 못한 태와 먹이지 못한 젖이 복이 있다, 할 것임이라.
Luk 23:30 그때에 비로소 사람들이 산들에게 이르기를, 우리 위에 무너지라, 하며 작은 산들에게 이르기를, 우리를 덮으라, 하리라.
Luk 23:31 그들이 푸른 나무에 이런 일들을 행할진대 마른 나무에는 무슨 일을 행하리요? 하시니라.
Luk 23:32 또 다른 두 범죄자도 사형을 받게 되어 그분과 함께 끌려가니라.
Luk 23:33 그들이 갈보리라 하는 곳에 이르러 거기서 그분을 십자가에 못박고 그 범죄자들도 그렇게 하니 하나는 오른편에 다른 하나는 왼편에 있더라.
Luk 23:34 그때에 예수님께서 이르시되, 아버지여, 저들을 용서하여 주옵소서. 저들은 자기들이 무슨 일을 하는지 알지 못하나이다, 하시더라. 그들이 그분의 옷을 나누어 제비를 뽑고
Luk 23:35 백성은 서서 지켜보는데 치리자들도 그들과 함께 그분을 비웃어 이르되, 그가 남을 구원하였으니 만일 하나님께서 선택하신 자 곧 그리스도이면 자기도 구원할 것이라, 하고
Luk 23:36 군사들도 그분을 조롱하면서 그분께 나아와 식초를 바치며
Luk 23:37 이르되, 네가 만일 유대인들의 왕이거든 네 자신을 구원하라, 하더라.
Luk 23:38 그분 위에는 그리스어와 라틴어와 히브리어로, [이 /사람/은 유대인들의 왕], 이라 쓴 글도 있더라.
Luk 23:39 매달린 범죄자 중의 하나는 그분을 욕하며 이르되, 네가 만일 그리스도이거든 네 자신과 우리를 구원하라, 하되
Luk 23:40 다른 하나는 되받아서 그를 꾸짖어 이르되, 네가 동일한 정죄를 받고서도 하나님을 두려워하지 아니하느냐?

Joh 19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
Joh 19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
Joh 19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
Joh 19:16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
Joh 19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
Joh 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Joh 19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Joh 19:20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
Joh 19:21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
Joh 19:22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
Joh 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
Joh 19:24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
Joh 19:25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
Joh 19:26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
Joh 19:27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
Joh 19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
Joh 19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Joh 19:32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.
Joh 19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
Joh 19:35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
Joh 19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
Joh 19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
Joh 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
Joh 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
Joh 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
Joh 19:41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
Joh 19:42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

Joh 19:2 군사들이 가시나무로 왕관을 엮어 그분의 머리에 씌우고 자주색 긴 옷을 입히고
Joh 19:3 이르되, 만세, 유대인들의 왕이여! 하며 손으로 그분을 때리더라.

Joh 19:12 이때부터 빌라도가 그분을 놓아주려고 애를 썼으나 유대인들이 소리를 지르며 이르되, 당신이 만일 이 사람을 놓아주면 카이사르의 충신이 아니니이다. 누구든지 자기를 왕이라 하는 자는 카이사르를 대적하여 말하는 것이니이다, 하니라.
Joh 19:13 그러므로 빌라도가 이 말을 듣고 예수님을 끌고 나가서 돌로 포장(鋪裝)한 곳이라 하고 히브리어로는 갑바다라고 하는 곳에 있는 재판석에 앉으니라.
Joh 19:14 이 날은 유월절의 예비일이요, 때는 여섯 시쯤이라. 빌라도가 유대인들에게 이르되, 너희 왕을 보라! 하거늘
Joh 19:15 그들이 소리를 지르되, 없애 버리소서, 없애 버리소서, 십자가에 못박으소서, 하니 빌라도가 그들에게 이르되, 내가 너희 왕을 십자가에 못박으랴? 하매 수제사장들이 대답하되, 카이사르 외에는 우리에게 왕이 없나이다, 하니
Joh 19:16 그러므로 빌라도가 그때에 그분을 십자가에 못박도록 넘겨주매 그들이 예수님을 맡아서 끌고 가니라.
Joh 19:17 그분께서 자기 십자가를 지시고 해골의 장소라 하는 곳으로 나가시니 이곳은 히브리어로 골고다라 하는 곳이라.
Joh 19:18 그들이 거기서 예수님을 십자가에 못박고 다른 두 사람도 그분과 함께 양쪽에 못박으니 그분은 한가운데 있더라.
Joh 19:19 빌라도가 명패(名牌)를 써서 십자가 위에 붙이니, [유대인들의 왕 나사렛 예수], 라 기록되었더라.
Joh 19:20 예수님께서 십자가에 못박히신 곳이 그 도시에서 가까우므로 많은 유대인들이 이 명패를 읽더니 이것은 히브리어와 그리스어와 라틴어로 기록되었더라.
Joh 19:21 이에 유대인들의 수제사장들이 빌라도에게 이르되, 유대인들의 왕이라 쓰지 말고 자칭 유대인들의 왕이라 쓰소서, 하니

Joh 19:23 그때에 군사들이 예수님을 십자가에 못박고 그분의 옷들을 취해 네 몫으로 나누어 각각 한 몫씩 차지하고 겉옷도 취하니 이제 이 겉옷은 이음새 없이 위에서부터 통째로 짠 것이더라.
Joh 19:24 그러므로 그들이 서로 이르되, 이것을 찢지 말고 누구의 소유가 될지 제비를 뽑자, 하니 이것은 성경 기록에, 그들이 자기들끼리 내 옷을 나누며 내 겉옷을 두고 제비를 뽑나이다, 하신 것을 성취하려 함이라. 그러므로 군사들이 이런 일을 행하더라.
Joh 19:25 이제 예수님의 십자가 곁에는 그분의 어머니와 그분의 이모요, 글로바의 아내인 마리아와 막달라 사람 마리아가 서 있더라.
Joh 19:26 그러므로 예수님께서 자기 어머니와 자기가 사랑하는 제자가 곁에 서 있는 것을 보시고 어머니에게 이르시되, 여자여, 보소서, 당신의 아들이니이다! 하시고
Joh 19:27 그 뒤에 그 제자에게 이르시되, 보라, 네 어머니라! 하시니 그때부터 그 제자가 그녀를 자기 집에 모시니라.

Joh 19:29 이제 거기에 식초가 가득히 담긴 그릇이 있으므로 사람들이 식초를 적신 해면(海綿)을 우슬초에 달아 그분의 입에 대니라.
Joh 19:30 그러므로 예수님께서 식초를 받으신 뒤에 이르시되, 다 이루었다, 하시고 머리를 숙여 숨을 거두시니라.
Joh 19:31 이 날은 예비일이므로 유대인들이 안식일에 몸들을 십자가에 그냥 두고자 하지 아니하여 빌라도에게 그들의 다리를 꺾어 치워 달라고 간청하니 (이는 그 안식일이 큰 날이기 때문이라.)
Joh 19:32 이에 군사들이 가서 그분과 함께 십자가에 못박힌 첫째 사람과 또 다른 사람의 다리를 꺾되
Joh 19:33 예수님께 이르러서는 이미 죽으신 것을 보고 다리를 꺾지 아니하였으나

DO YOU WANT BE A CHRISTIAN? Because I am a human being I do not within myself have the wisdom to teach you how to be a Christian. But I have God’s Word, the Bible, and from it we can learn the true way of Salvation. Before we can become a Christian we must first understand why we need to become a Christian. 1. THE REASON IS BECAUSE WE HAVE SINNED BEFORE A HOLY GOD: Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 2. JESUS EXPLAINS WHAT SIN IS: Mark 7:20-23 “ And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” 3. GOD ALSO TELLS US WHAT THE PUNISHMENT FOR SIN IS: Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 4. THIS PENALTY FOR SIN IS NOT ONLY PHYSICAL DEATH BUT ALSO DEATH IN THE LAKE IF FIRE: Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” 5. BUT THE BIBLE IS A BOOK OF LOVE AND HOPE: Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” 6. THE BIBLE TELLS US VERY CLEARLY HOW TO RECEIVE THIS SALVATION: Romans 10:9 “That is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” 7. THE BIBLE TELLS US PLAINLY WHAT TO DO ABOUT OUR SINS: 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 8. THEN WE CAN SEE HOW ANXIOUS JESUS IS TO SAVE THE SINNER: Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with him.”
a. I believe that Jesus is knocking on your heart right now. Would you let Him come into your heart? Let’s bow our heads and pray.
b. Now, here is a prayer, sometimes called the sinner’s prayer, that you can use: “God, I know that I am a sinner, please forgive me of my sins. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross, I believe that He was buried, and I believe that He arose again on the third day. Please come into my heart right now and give me salvation. I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
9. NOW LET’S LOOK AT GOD’S PROMISE: Romans 10:13 “for whosoever [누구든지] shall call upon the name of the Lord shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Did you ask God for Salvation? According to the Bible, do you believe that God gave you Salvation?
10. ‘CHRIST RECEIVED’ MEANS YOU HAVE (RIGHT NOW) EVERLASTING LIFE WITH A PROMISE OF NO FUTURE CONDEMNATION. John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say onto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” 11. AS A SON OF GOD WE SHOULD NOT BE ASHAMED OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. Matthew 10:32-33. “ Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” 12. AS HIS SON, WE SHOULD: A. STUDY HIS WORD, THE BIBLE. 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” B. FOLLOW HIM IN BELIEVER’S BAPTISM Matthew. 28:19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” C. 3. GOD ALSO TELLS US WHAT THE PUNISHMENT FOR SIN IS: 하나님은 또 죄에 대한 벌이 어떠한 것이라는 것을 우리에게 말씀 해 주십니다. 로마서 6:23 “죄의 삵은 사망이나 하나님의 선물은 예수 그리스도 우리 주를 통한 영원한 생명이니라.”
4. THIS PENALTY FOR SIN IS NOT ONLY PHYSICAL DEATH BUT ALSO DEATH IN THE LAKE OF FIRE: 죄에 대한 이 벌은 육체적인 죽음뿐 아니라 또한 불타는 호수 속에서 당하는 죽음입니다. 요한계시록 21:8 “그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 않는 자들과 가증한 자들과 살인자들과 음행을 일삼는 자들과 마법사들과 우상 숭배자들과 거짓말하는 모든 자들은 불과 유황으로 타는 호수에서 자기 몫을 받으리니 이것이 둘째 사망이라.”
5. BUT THE BIBLE IS A BOOK OF LOVE AND HOPE: 그러나 성경은 사랑과 희망의 책입니다. 로마서 5:8 “우리가 아직 죄인이었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위해 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리를 향한 자신의 사랑을 당당히 제시 하시느니라.”
6. THE BIBLE TELLS US VERY CLEARLY HOW TO RECEIVE THIS SALVATION: 성경은 이 구원을 받을 수 있는 방법을 분명하게 우리에게 말해 줍니다. 로마서 10:9-10 “곧 네가 만일 네 입으로 주 예수님을 시인하고 하나님께서 그분을 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 것을 네 마음속으로 믿으면 구원을 받으리니 사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르니라.”
7. THE BIBLE TELLS US PLAINLY WHAT TO DO ABOUT OUR SINS: 성경은 우리의 죄에 대하여 어떻게 해야 하는가를 명백하게 우리에게 말해줍니다. 요한일서 1:9 “만일 우리가 우리의 죄들을 자백하면 그분께서는 신실하시고 의로우사 우리의 죄들을 용서하시며 모든 불의에서 우리를 깨끗하게 하시느니라.”
8. THEN WE CAN SEE HOW ANXIOUS JESUS IS TO SAVE THE SINNER: 그리고 우리는 예수님이 얼마나 간절히 죄인을 구원하려 하시는가를 볼 수 있습니다. 요한계시록 3:20 “보라, 내가 문에 서서 두드리노니 누구든지 내 음성을 듣고 문을 열면 내가 그에게로 들어가 그와 함께 만찬을 먹고 그는 나와 함께 먹으리라.”
○ㄱ저는 예수님께서 바로 지금 당신의 마음 문을 두드리고 계시리라고 믿습니다. 그분을 당신 마음 속으로 모셔 드리지 않으시렵니까? 우리 머리 숙여 기도 합시다.
○ㄴ[Sinner’s Prayer] 여기 당신이 할 수 있는 기도가 있습니다, 이것을 당신 자신의 기도로 삼으시기 바랍니다. “하나님 저는 제 자신이 죄인임을 알고 있습니다. 예수님께서 저의 죄를 대신하여 십자가 위에서 돌아가신 것을 믿습니다. 그리고 지금 저의 마음속에 들어오시어 저를 구원하여 주십시요. 예수님의 이름으로 기도 드렸습니다. 아멘 [Amen]”
9. NOW LET’S LOOK AT GOD’S PROMISE: 이제 주님의 약속을 찾아 봅시다. 로마서 10:13 “누구든지 주의 이름을 부르는 자는 구원을 받으리라.” 당신은 하나님에게 구원을 청 하셨습니까? 성경대로 하나님께서 당신에게 구원을 허락해 주셨다고 믿습니까?
10. ‘CHRIST RECEIVED’ MEANS YOU HAVE (RIGHT NOW) EVERLASTING LIFE WITH A PROMISE OF NO FUTURE CONDEMNATION. 그리스도를 영접했다는 것은 영원한 생명을 가졌고 (바로 지금부터), 미래에는 정죄가 없다는 뜻입니다. 요한복음 5:24“진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 내 말을 듣고 또 나를 보내신 분을 믿는 자에게는 영존하는 생명이 있고 또 그는 정죄에 이르지 아니하리니 사망에서 생명으로 옮겨졌느니라.”
11. AS A SON OF GOD WE SHOULD NOT BE ASHAMED OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. 우리는 하나님의 자녀로써 우리 구주 예수그리스도를 부끄러워 해서는 안됩니다. 마태복음 10:32-33 “그런즉 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 시인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 시인할 것이요. 누구든지 사람들 앞에서 나를 부인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 부인하리라.”
12. AS HIS SON, WE SHOULD: A. STUDY HIS WORD, THE BIBLE. 그분의 아들로 [자녀로써], 우리는 반드시
a. 그분의 말씀 즉 성서를 공부 할 것. 디모데 후서 2:15 ”너는 진리의 말씀을 바르게 나누어 네 자신을 하나님께 인정받은 자로, 부끄러울 것이 없는 일꾼으로 나타내도록 연구하라.”
b. FOLLOW HIM IN BELIEVER’S BAPTISM 믿는 자로써 침례를 받고 그분을 따를 것. 마태복음 28:19 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 가르치고 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 그들에게 가르쳐 지키게 하라. 보라, 내가 세상의 끝까지 항상 너희와 함께 있으리라, 하시니라. 아멘.
c. ATTEND A BIBLE BELIEVING, BIBLE PRACTICING BAPTIST CHURCH 성서를 믿고, 전 하는 교회에 출석할 것. 히브리서 10:25 “어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 우리의 함께 모이는 일을 폐하지 말고 서로 권면하여 너희가 그 날이 다가옴을 볼수록 더욱 그리하자.”
자 당신이 이제 그리스도를 구주로 영접 하셨지요!

1Jn 5:14 그분 안에서 우리가 가진 담대함이 이것이니 곧 우리가 그분의 뜻대로 무엇이든 구하면 그분께서 들으시는 것이라.
