Target Audience
The group of people an add is aimed to reach. Audience are targeted based on demographics and psychographics.
Demographics
Age, gender, education level, income level, geolocation. Socioeconomic standards.
Psychographics
Motivations, needs and desires.
Who you are targeting will affect where you place your add.
The kind of magazine or when during the day on the television or what show.
Copy
The copy refers to the words used in an advertisement and the way in which they are used to appeal to the target audience. Eg. headline, aliteration, rhetorical, scientific evidence.
Graphics
Graphics are the images, colour and fonts in an advertisement that grab our attention and have visual affect of contemplating or contrasting the product.
Proposition
The message the advertisement is giving to the consumer. Eat this is will be pleasureable.
Appeals
Advertising appeals aim to influence the way consumers view themselves and how buying certain products can prove to be beneficial to them. Emotional, less than perfect, rational.
Psychographics and appeals
Advertisers target the consumers desires, motivtions and fears. They create a demands for their product by targeting these things.
