Universal theme

A message about life that is often expressed in many different eras and cultures

Stated theme

The theme expressed directly by the author

Implied theme

The theme is suggested, or stated indirectly through what happens to the characters

Protagonist

The main character of the story usually seen as good

Antagonist

The character who struggles against or opposes the main character

Dynamic character

A character that changes in some important way

Static character

Round character

A major character who encounters conflict and is changed by the conflict

Flat character

A minor character with no substantial change

Direct characterization

The writer makes direct statements about the character's personality and tells what the character is like

Indirect characterization

The writer reveals information about a character in his / her personality through that's characters thoughts words and actions along with the other characters respond to that character including what they think and say about them the authors of him on the reader to draw conclusions about the characters traits

Set in the Wild West, or American frontier. Main characters skills / size / strength is greatly exaggerated, the exaggeration is usually enormous

Legend

Based on real person or place. Flexor stretch beyond non fiction and exaggerated in a serious way

Fairy Tail

Has magic and / or talking animals. Often starts with once upon a time... Like fantasy but much older. Often as a human as a main character
