Noun.
A content word that can be used to refer to a person, place, thing, quality, or action.
Adjective.
A word that expresses an attribute of something.
Adverb.
The word class that qualifies verbs or clauses, or modifies something other than a noun. A word like "slowly", "quietly", "well", "often", etc. An adverb modifies a verb.
Preposition.
A preposition is a short explanatory word that indicates things such as location, direction, and possession. A word like "at", "to", "in", "over", "with", "to", "under", "over", "by", and "for" are all prepositions.
Conjunction.
Part of speech that connects two words, phrases, or clauses together.
Pronoun.
A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. "He", "She", "It", "Who", "Whom", "That", "Which", "We", "They", and "Us" are all pronouns.
Interjection.
A word expression emotion and having no grammatical relation with other words in the sentence. For example, "Wow!".
