What is a declarative sentence?
Makes a statement ends with a period.
What is an interrogative sentence?
Asks a question ends in a question mark.
What is an imperative sentence?
Can make a strong command or make a request STOP YELLING NOW! That is a strong command said with lots of authority If somebody says please keep your voice down my head is hurting that is making a command or request in a mild manner or tone. That would end with a period.
what is an exclamatory sentence?
A sentence written so as to express strong emotion or surprise Oh My Goodness you scared me! Ernest and I are getting married! I am having a baby I am so happy! Ouch that hurt I hit my head on the car door! Those are all sentences expressing strong emotion or surprise
