It's a test for Carpel Tunnel syndrome and is performed by asking the pt to hold their wrist in maximum flexion. The test is positive if the protion of the thumb and finger that are innervated by the meidian nerve becomes numb.

Yes, helps blood circulation and to reduce edema that relieves the pressure on the nerve. Could also use heating pads at home and do self-massage. Moxa not really indicated here.

If pain is more than 2 years then ask them to come back (1st tx will be pain free for 3-4d).

PC6 ZZ's classmate did her doctorate on using just PC6 with strong stimulation to treat angina pectoralis; used the reducing technique (along the channel to the chest area->needle pointing toward the elbow). Pt that mention the Qi senstation goes to the chest will generally notice an immediate relief in chest oppression and it feels like it is open). If Pt reports that there is feeling radiating toward the hand, she will block it with her hand so it goes in the right direction.
