What is Swimmers ear? And how is it tx?
|
A yeast infection dogs acquire post swimming (usually malaseizia)
Water enters the ear canal, and yeasts proliferate under the warm moist climate Tx with eardrops (surolan) for 1wk. If no better rex for swabs and further investigation Prevent by cleaning ear after swimming, dries out ear canal |

What is the tx for cat bites?
|
Wound V infected, try not to close. Clip hair so cannot matt on top forming false scab
Adv O to bathe daily in salt water Course of abx (convenia injection ideal!) + Nsaid |

What is the tx for dog bites?
|
Wound V infected, try to avoid suture or place drain!!
If superficial treat same as cat bite! Convenia at dog doses is VV expensive, so course of synulox. |
