Demographic Region-
Defined regions where demographics of an area take place. For example the ethnicities of Canada
Demographic Transition Model-
Multistage model. Based on Western Europe’s experience. Changes in population growth exhibited by countries undergoing industrialization. High birth rates and death rates are followed by plunging death rates. Producing a huge net population gain; this is followed by the convergence of birth rates and death rates at a low overall level
Demographic variables-
Births (fertility), deaths (mortality) and migration are the three basic demographic variables
Demography-
The study of patterns and rates of population change, including birth and death rates, migration trends and evolving population distribution patterns
Density-
a description of the quantity per unit area of a given object or living organism
