When were you first contacted by the Park's?

July 2013

Where did you get your bachelor's degree?

Macalester College. I got my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology

Where did you get your Master's?

I got my Masters of science in Psychology from the University of Illinois

Where/what did you get your Ph.D.?

I got my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in psychology

Have you done any internships?

I've done one with the Children's Hospital national Medical Center in Washington D.C. It was an APS approved year long internship.


Following the completion of my Ph.D., I was a postdoctoral fellow with the Center for Families and Children in the Department of Psychology at the State University of New York at Buffalo

What do you do now?

For the last 10 years I've been an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Iowa. There I teach and research abnormal child psychology, with an emphasis on a cluster of conditions known as disruptive behavior disorders, which includes psychopathy

Have you written any papers?

I have authored three books and authored or co authored twenty-five peer-reviewed articles. All of my published research has involved psychology, psychopathy, or both. Two of my published articles focused specifically on predicting, diagnosing, and treating psychopathy in children under the age of 16 years old

To you have any commendations or awards?

I am board certified by the States of illinois and midlands. I am also an elected Fellow with the APA. in 2012 I won the professor of the year award at UoIowa
