Land immediately
Self-explanatory. Landing in trees, water, or otherwise unsafe areas should be considered as a last resort.
Land as soon as possible
Land at the first site at which a safe landing can be made.
Land as soon as practical
Extended flight is not recommended. The landing site and duration of flight is at the discretion of the pilot in command.
A precautionary landing is defined as a landing when further flight is possible but inadvisable. Such landings will be governed by the following:
1. When an indication is received by the warning lights or instruments that continued flight would jeopardize the safety of the helicopter or crew.
2. When control function is questionable or instruments that are essential for continued flight fail.
3. Any condition of uncertainty or distress.

Condition
Engine power failure Ng at 55 ±3 percent.
Corrective ActionEngine power failure accompanied by an aural signal. Monitor Nr and engine instruments and enter autorotation if power failure is confirmed. If actuation of the warning system is the result of Ng tachometer generator or speed sensor switch failure, land as soon as practical.
