Trophoblast
A layer of tissue on the outside of a mammalian blastula, supplying the embryo with nourishment and later forming the major part of the placenta.
Cavitation
Process which blastocoels result from
Compaction
Process which trophoblasts result from
Embryoblast
Inner group of cells that are bunched together on one side of the blastocyst. It will eventually give rise to the definitive structures.
Cytotrophoblast
Inner layer when the trophoblast divides
Syncytiotropblast
Outer layer when the trophoblast divides (next to the endometrium)
