be 17+ years old have a highschool diploma or equivalent or passed a valid exam administered by a certified testing agency have completed 1000 hours in a licensed beauty culture school |

holds an active Class A barber certificate completed 300 houors of instruction in cosmetology through a commission- approved training program in a cosmetology school passes the exam required submits to the department an application perscribed by the department and the required fee |
