Important questions to consider

How is the effect of depth created? What are the easiest and most difficult ways of creating the effect of depth?

1. Overlapping- 2 objects overlap


2. Scale- something appears larger, it is closer


3. Linear perspective- when eyes focus on vanishing point it helps to represent 3 dimensional objects on a flat surface


4. Atmospheric perspective- as things get further away, there is less contrast and things get “grayed” out we start to loose warm colors and get cool colors
