Noble Gases
( The Helium family) 1) What is the symbol? 2) What is the atomic #? 3) Is it a solid, liquid, gas, or artificially prepared? |
A member of Group 18 of the periodic table. They are so called because they combine with very few elements, they are chemically aloof. In fact, until the 1960's they were called "inert gases" because they were thought not to combine with any elements at all. All the group 18 elements are colorless, ordorless gases.
