Plugless - installing on concrete

If you’re installing the Parking Pad of your Charging Station on concrete, you may need a $175 Plugless Concrete Shield. Concrete is often reinforced with rebar, which can interfere with inductive charging. During the simple installation process your Charging Station will indicate whether the Shield is necessary. If you don’t need it, you can ship the Shield back to us at no cost with the included pre-paid return label and get a full refund. Alternately, you could test for this in advance with a Zircon metal scanner if you want.

Plugless Self vs professional installation of the control panel and parking pad

If you have an existing 240V outlet on a dedicated 30Amp circuit within 25 ft of your parking spot and one foot of the Control Panel bottom, the Charging Station can be self-installed in about an hour. Control Panel bottom must be within 1 ft of outlet w standard cords. Extension possible thru cords / adapters available at a local hardware store.




If you are missing one or more of the above prerequisites you can install them yourself if you're handy or have an electrician install in about an hour. Evatran is also happy to help arrange an electrician to complete the service.

Installation of plugless car adapter

Vehicle Adapter is always installed by a trained technician with the required equipment, free of charge to you. This is typically done at your local EV dealership, though in some areas we may use an independent certified mechanic depending on scheduling availability.
