She married FDR a couple of years later. Together they had four children Anna Roosevelt, James Roosevelt, Franklin D. Jr. and Elliott. Sadly Franklin D. Jr. died of influenza a year after his birth.
Unfortunately FDR was not the most faithful husband. He had 2 affairs and Eleanor learned about both of them. As a result she separated from FDR for a time. She retuned to him only after he agreed to recognized her independence.
Throughout her life she joined many groups including the Red Cross and United Nations. Also she was one of the only women to learn to drive . Eleanor played a big role in getting the amendment that let women vote passed. Another thing she accomplished was the many articles
Another thing she accomplished was the many articles and books she wrote such as "Why I am a Democrat," "Building Character," and This troubled world. ONe of the many lectures she gave was called "The struggles for the rights of man"
She taught at 2 schools and started 2 radio shows. Eleanor was named one of the 10 most powerful people in the world. Sadly on november 7, 1962 she died of tuberculosis. Eleanor Roosevelt lived a full life and accomplished much more than I mentioned.
Eleanor is a very independent women and a good role model for all girls. Eleanor Roosevelt will always be remembered as one of the most famous people in history
