Developed Point

Many children in Gaza attend schools run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. Although the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees runs around 250 schools in Gaza many non - UN schools have suffered. The conflict in 2014 damaged 547 schools, kindergartens and colleges, many of which are yet to be repaired. This damage has caused larger and larger class sizes, with the UN reporting an average classroom size of 40 pupils in 2017.

Developed Point - Analysis

The education of the people of Gaza has been negatively impacted by the Israel/Palestine conflict due to the number of children appointed to each classroom/school increasing and the number of teachers appointed to each classroom/school decreasing because of the UN’s inability to recruit teachers in Gaza and too many children being placed in one classroom due to other school being deemed unusable because of the conflict.

Developed Point - Evaluation

Overall, the conflict between Israel and Palestine has negatively impacted the education of the people of Gaza due to a large amount of schools being damaged and deemed unusable because of the conflict.
