Types of advertisements; Targeting the right audience, being persuasive and informative.

Targeting the Right audience - If firms can identify the consumer who are going to purchase the product, they can design their advertisement to best appeal to those people.

Persuasive and Informative:
Informative - provide consumers with information about the product. |
Persuasive: Persuasive advertising is designed to encourage consumers to have a demand for the product. Easier to spot with clever images, short sentences. Encourages consumer spending and rising demands.

Brand Image - using techniques to make it stand out against close substitutes. Logos, name, catchprase etc.
|
Customer loyalty - customers trust the firms and thus purchase their products from that firm alone, they will ignore substitutes from rival companies.

Advertising Media - Forms in which advertisements can be distributed through. Done through, television, newspaper, cinemas, posters etc.

Target audience - Different advertisements can be targetted at different groups of consumers called the target audience.

Market Segmentation - The analysis for a particular good or service by their characteristics.

E-commerce - Advertising on the internet is growing rapidly in importance as use of the internet grows, especially for online shopping - e-commerce.
