Eclipses

Definition
An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when an an astronomical object is temporarily obstructed. An eclipse can occur in 2 different ways, solar and lunar. Eclipses ussually last a few minutes to a few hours. These occur at least twice a year
Eclipses

Solar
A solar eclipse occurs when the sun is blocked out by the moon, either partially or completely. This only occurs for some places at a time, not the whole earth. I fexperiencing a total exlipse you are in the umbra and if only partial then you are in the penumbra.
Eclispes

Lunar
A lunar Eclipse occurs when a fuul moon is blocked out by the the shadow of the earth. often instead of turning black the moon turns dark red.
