What is Netmask ordering?

A method DNS uses to give ordering and preference to iP addresses on the same network when requesting client queries for a host name tht has multiple A resource records.

|
Only primary zones are scavenged which is the method used for clearing out stale and outdated records.

What does a resolver do?
|
It is used to answer a query using its own cache but when this is not possible, the resolver sends the query to one or more DNS servers configured in TCP/IP. If a host file is configured on the client, it is preloaded into the resolver cache.

DNS Events Log, the DNS Debug Log, and the Replication Monitor.
