What is the function of the starter?
Turns engine over during starting, center front accessory drive pad on generator.
What is the function of fuel control?
Located on left rear pad of gear box. Lightweight, hydromechanical, high capacity, fuel flow metering unit that gives the engine the fuel it needs.
What is the function of the Power level control quadrant?
Provides control of engine throughout range of operation and auto sequences ignition and fuel during starting cycle. FWD cockpit on pilots left hand console.
What is the function of the engine oil system?
Supplies oil under pressure to lubricate the main bearings, the engine and accessory drive. Located in main gear box.Reservoir stbd side of engine.
What is the function of the Fire overtemperature detection system?
Provides cockpit indication of a fire or overtemperature or either engine compartment, aft equip bay or NW well.
What is the function of the Oil pressure indicator of the engine indicating system?
Indicates oil operating pressure. Pilots lef hand side instrument panel.
What is the function of the fuel flow indicator of the engine indicating system?
Displays fuel flow in PPH(LBS per hour). right hand side of pilots instrument panel.
What is the function of the Engine speed(RPM)indicator of the engine indicating system?
Tachometer send signal to cockpit in percentages. Left hand side of pilots instrument panel.
What is the function of the Exhaust Gas Temperature of the engine indicating system?
6 thermocouples mounted on exhaust case send temp to gage. Located on pilots left hand side instrument panel.
What is the function of the forward fuel cell?
Holds 392 US gallons. Self sealing type.
Where is the forward fuel cell located?
Behind the ECMO 2&3 seats and directly under TB#1.
What is the purpose of the Mid Fuel Cell?
Holds 256 US gallons. Bladder type.
Where is the Mid Fuel Cell located?
Directly behind forward fuel cell.
What is the purpose of the Aft fuel cell?
Holds 643 US gallons. Self sealing.

Directly behind mid fuel cell under TB# 3.

What are the safety precautions to be observed during engine ground turn-up?
Stay clear of intakes, exhaust and rotation line of starter and engine turbine blades. Wear Ear protection.
What Special safety precautions apply to fueling?
During hot pump do not fuel OTBD wing w/ sings folded. keep fire extinguishing agent present. No radio or radar w/in 100ft. Grounded. Proper PPE.
What Special safety precautions apply to defueling?
Ground A/C. Proper PPE. No radio w/in 100ft or radar w/in 300ft.
