SRS

Supply Response Section; the single point of contact for processing customer requirements.

Divided into 5 units.

RCU

Requisition Control Unit; receives all requests for material requirements

TRU

Technical Research Unit; responsible for verification of requisition data such as part number, stock number, and other technical data.

MDU

Material Delivery Unit; responsible for the pick-up and delivery of all material

PMU

Program Management Unit; this is where high priority material requests are processed expeditiously

PEB

Pre-Expended Bin Unit; to shorten the issue and accounting procedures for recurring issues

Material Control

To provide material support to their cognizant organization & to ensure the material ordered is the material required and delivered to the work centers.

Divided into 4 units.

CCS

Component Control Section; also known as repairable management section (RMS); responsible for the management and accounting of all repairable assets.

DCU

Document Control Unit; responsible for the control of all non-RFI components in the IMA repair cycle.

LRCA

Local Repair Cycle Assets; responsible for the receipt, storage, issue and accountability of repairable assets under the control of the ASD.

SSU

Supply Screening Unit; responsible for the processing of all items returned from the IMA.

AWP

Awaiting Parts Unit; responsible for receiving, storing, and controlling all AWP components.

RAM

Repairable Assets Management; maintains custody of high-cost, or the pilferable, Aviation Depot Level Repairables (AVDLRS) that are ordered by the individual IMA work centers

AMMRL

Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List Program; the title of the overall program which provides the data required for the effective management of SE at all levels of aircraft maintenance.

ICRL

Individual Component Repair List; a detailed statement of IMA's component repair capability

CRIPL

Consolidated Remain-In-Place List; a listing of all authorized remain in place items

NMCS

Not Mission Capable Supply; material condition of an aircraft that is not able to perform its missions because of maintenance required due to discrepancies

PMCS

Partial Mission Capable Supply; material condition of an aircraft that perform one but not all of its missions due to maintenance required because of discrepancies

NSN

National Stock Number; 13 digit stock number assigned by the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC) to identify an item of material in the supply distribution system.

NIIN

National Item Identification Number; a 9 digit number that consists of a 2 digit national codification bureau (NCB) code and 7 digits .

AVDLR

Aviation Depot Level Repair; financed by the Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF)

IMA

Intermediate Maintenance Activity; an aviation activity authorized to provide I-Level maintenance support.

BCM

Beyond Capability of Maintenance; a term/code used by the IMA's when repair is not authorized at that level

OPTAR

Operating Target; S-1F is responsible for daily OPTAR accounting

IMRL

Individual Material Readiness List; a consolidated list that shows items and quantities of certain SE required for material readiness
