refers to minimal expression and intensity of emotion. The indiviual's facial expression varies little. THer are few physical gestures of emotion, eye contact either minimal orpt seems to stare at interviewer, pt speaks in monotone with little vocal inflection. Person's fce seems to have little muscle tone.
