Schizophrenia
- At least 6 months, 1 month active phase (2 or more: hallucinations, delusions, disorganized speech, disorganized bx, negative symptoms) - Subtypes: Paranoid, Disorganized, Catatonic, Undifferentiated, and Residual Schizophreniform - Symptomatic presentation similar to Schizophrenia except for it’s duration – lasts from 1 – 6 months, and absences of decline in functioning Schizoaffective Disorder - Mood episode and the active phase symptoms of Schizophrenia occur together and preceded or followed by at least 2 weeks of delusions or hallucinations w/o prominent mood symptoms Delusional Disorder - At least 1 month of non-bizarre delusions without other active-phase symptoms of Schizophrenia - Erotomanic, grandiose, jealous, persecutory, somatic, mixed, unspecified Brief Psychotic Disorder - Lasts more than 1 day and remits by 1 month Shared Psychotic Disorder - Presence of a delusion in an individual who is influenced by someone else who has a longer-standing delusion with similar content |
