A. Development of MULTIPLE COGNITIVE DEFICITS:
1. Memory impairment: ↓ability to learn new info/recall prev. learned info.
2. ≥1 COGNITIVE DISTURBANCES
. - Aphasia / Apraxia / Agnosia / Abstraction (exec fn)

B. Severe enough → signif. IMPAIRMENT in social/occupational fn + represents a signif. DECLINE from prev. fn'ing.
C. GRADUAL onset, PROGRESSIVE cognitive decline.
D. Sx doesn't occur exclusively during a DELIRIUM
E. Sx not better accounted for by another Axis I dis (DEPR, schizo)
