You would start the car, move the wheel slightly to the left and right - it should feel light to steer. |

Turn on ignition and operate the windscreen washer. |

Turn ignition on. Turn dip headlights and rear foglights. Check the warning light is on for the fog light. Only use if visibility is poor and you can't see beyond 100m. |

Press foot brake. Release handbrake. Reapply handbrake. Handbrake shouldn't come up too high and car shouldn't move when you release the foot brake. |

Turn ignition on. Twist light switch to dipped, pull left lever away from you for main beam. Blue main beam warning light is displayed on dashboard. |

Ask examiner if they can check the back of your car while you turn on ignition and press foot brake. DON'T START THE CAR THOUGH. You might also be able to see a reflection. |
