Operate break pedal, use reflections or ask someone to help in order to check

Use reliable pressure gauge, check/adjust tyres when they are cold




Don't forget spare tyre and remember to refit valve caps

(T) Check tyres to ensure they have sufficient tread depth and general condition is safe to use on the road

1.6mm tread depth across central 3/4 of the breadth of the tyre and around the entire circumference

(T) Check engine oil level. Where is it and how would you check that it is sufficient

Identify dipstick/oil level indicator




Pull it out and wipe clean, level should be inbetween minimum and maximum markers

(T) Where would you check engine coolant level and how would you check engine has correct coolant levels

Identify the high and low level markings on header tank where fitted or radiator filler cap
