What do Christians believe about the Devil? |
Lucifer was one of the archangels and when God created the first human he ordered the archangels to bow down to him, but Lucifer was proud and refused. God threw him out of Heaven and he fell into Hell where he became the devil. |

- When Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days and the devil tempts him -Jesus drove out the demons; Luke 11:14-15 - 'Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left,the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. But some of them said 'By Beelzebub, the prince of demons , he is driving out the demons'. - There are only a few references to the devil in the Bible but he is mainly in the Apocrypha |
