You'd put the purchase property - as the TR1 is sent to LR to be completed once all monies paid and transaction done. |

What is a K16 used for? |
When a client is borrowing for a mortgage, we do a bankruptcy search on behalf of the lender. If client has been bankrupt it may affect their application. |

It's a number that you put on the K16 to identify your office so that you don't need to put your address |

What is the difference between a bill of costs and a statement? |
A bill of costs is a breakdown of all your legal fees you are charging client A statement is a breakdown of the clients finances - it shows the amount of the sale price of their property (less all the outgoings, ie legal fees, estate agent fees, mortgage redemption etc) Then cost of purchasing the new property broken down (ie purchase price: less any mortgage amount they taken out) plus expenses (search fees, legal fees, SDLT, Land registry fees etc See page 195 |
