1. CUT- OUT

Start the engine to build up the system air pressure. When the air system Cut-Out pressure is reached, note the air pressure. Maximum of 130 PSI. Determine the cut out by observing that the air pressure needle stops moving, not by the air being released from the brake system Air Dryer.

2. CUT-IN

Apply the service brake, releasing approximately 5 lbs. Of pressure at a time, pausing for 8 seconds between each application in consistent intervals. Do this enough times to allow the system air pressure to drop and the air governor to CUT-IN (minimum 85 PSI) Note the pressure then allow the system to build back to maximum.

Static Test

Shut the engine off and release the parking brake. Use a wooden block to chock the wheels. Monitor the bus to ensure it does not roll. Monitor the air pressure gauge for 1 minute and note any pressure loss. A maximum of two PSI Los is allowed. This checks for air leaks in the air tanks
