What is a single broken yellow Line?
Used to mark centerline where there are only two lanes of traffic. You must drive to right of centerline. You may cross this line to pass another vehicle or turn.
What do Double Solid Yellow Lines mean?
Used to mark the center of the roadway when there are four or more lanes of traffic. You may not cross these lines to pass, you may cross these lines to turn.
What does a a single solid yellow line mean?
A No Passing Line. Used on two lane roads to indicate zones where passing is prohibited. You may cross this line to make a turn.
What do white lane markings mean?
Seperate lanes of traffic moving in the same direction.
What do single dashed white lines mean?
May be crossed when you can do so safely.
What do single solid white lines mean?
Indicate that movement from lane to lane is hazardous. You may cross with Great Care.
What are Edge Lines?
Solid white or yellow line along the edge of the roadway used as safety guide. White lines are used along the right edge of the roadway & yellow edge lines may be along the left edge of the roadway.

To get the smallest possible blind spot at the right side of the car, turn your inside mirror so you can see the edge of your right rear window post. The Larger the vehicle the larger the blindspot.

*25 mph= 61.7 ft.
*35 mph= 106 ft.
*45 mph= 161 ft.
*55 mph= 228 ft.

What should be the following distance between you and the car in front of you?
If it takes less than 2 seconds for your car to pass the checkpoint, you are following too close. During bad weather or on wet pavement, increase the rule to 4 seconds.
How should wheels be when parking on hills?
Always set the emergency brake. Shift to park,reverse, or low gear. If you park at a curb:

* facing downhill- turn your wheels toward the the curb and shift into revers or park.
* facing uphill- turn wheels away from the curb and shift into low gear or park.
* If no curb, then turn your wheels toward the edge of the road, whether uphill/downhill.

Partial hydroplaning starts at about 35 mph and increase with speed until 55 mph.

Law requires tht your headlights be on between sunset and sunrise.
* Use lower headight beams, not "bright lights" when approaching within 500 ft of or following 200 ft of another vehicle.
* Headlights also required when moisture in air or precipitation necessitates.

Explain when to use fog lights and their colors.
Front fog lights have distinct flat, low reach yet wide beam pattern designed to show up the edges of a roadway better than a lowbeam can alone.
A rear fog light is red; because your vehicle can be recognized sooner. A rear fog light must only be used in a dense fog or similar hazardous condition. You should switch off the fog lights when the visisbilty improves.
Intersections are the most likely places for what to occur?
Car/Motorcycle Collisions. Usually a result of a car driver not seeing the motorcycle & turing into its path. When drivin behind a motorcycle,, allow at least a 2 second following distance..
Give some Precautions when sharing the road with big trucks...
* If you can't see the truck driver in the mirror, he can't see you.
* In good weather conditions, leave a gap of at 3 seconds b/t you & the truck. Make an even bigger gap in bad weather.
* When following, keep your headlights on low beam. Truck's side mirror wil reflect high beam lights into the driver's eyes.
* Always pass on the left side, & allow plenty of room.
