Define Lordosis
inward curvature of a portion of the spine, commonly called swayback.
Define Kyphosis
outward curvature of the spine, commonly known as "humpback"
Define Scoliosis
sideward curvature of the spine, either to the left or right
Lordosis, Kyphosis, Scoliosis may be caused by?
congenital spinal defects, poor posture, a discrepancy in leg lengths, and growth retardation or a vascular disturbance in the epiphysis of the thoracic vertabrae during periods of rapid growth.

Define Herniated Intervertebral disc
nucleus pulposus leaks through the wall of the disk into the spinal canal
Signs and symptoms of a herniated invertebral disc
severe back pain that worsens with motion. Sensation of numbness, prickling of tingling known as paresthesia, restricted mobility of the neck.
Define Osteoporosis
Metabolic bone disease. Bones become brittle, porous, and vulnerable to fracture due to decreased calcium and phosphate in bones.
Define Osteomyelitis
Acute or Chronic infection of the bone forming tissue. Such infections are characterized by inflammation, edema, and circulatory congestion of the bone marrow. As the infection progresses, pus may form and sustained inflammatory pressure may cause fracturing of small pieces of bone.
