What does APGAR stand for? |
Activity, Pulse, Grimace, Appearance, Respiration |

What is the APGAR test used for and when is it given? |
The APGAR test is used to test the neonates adaption to world outside the uterus. It is given 1 minute after birth and 5 minutes after birth. |

What score must the neonate get on either APGAR test to pass? |
The neonate must recieve above a 7 to be considered normal. |

What scores can the neonate recieve in the APGAR test? |
The neonate can recieve a 0, 1 or a 2 for each catagory (appearance, pulse, grimace, activity and respiratory), 2 being the highest and the best outcome and 0 being the worst possible outcome. |
