DVT intervention |
Venous return, leg exercise, ambulate, scd, teds, elevate extremities, treat hypercoagulation, don't delegate assessment, check neuro, loc check, avoid pillows under the knee, avoid sitting too long, monitor iv for infiltration, encourage use of piccs, bed rest, give iv heparin followed by Coumadin 3 days later, check correct dose, monitor for bleeding or bruises, monitor for decreased blood pressure and pulse while on meds, use electric razor, avoid injury or physical activity, do not stop taking drug abruptly, apply prolonged pressure ever injection site |
