Mr. Manager: Welcome to theMinion Factory! I am the Factory Manager (you can call me Mr. Manager)and I am so excited you will be working here at the Factory! As newemployees, there is a lot for you to know, and we’ll be training you throughoutthe day. You are divided into work crews, four year olds are doing work at MinionElectric, K-2nd graders arestationed at Minion Waterworks, and 3-5th graders are Minion Mechanics. Every job is important! If the electric workers don’t do their workcorrectly, we’ll have no lights! If the waterworks crew falls asleep onthe job, our toilets won’t flush! Ewwwww! And, if the mechanicsaren’t mechanical, then the whole building might fall down. So, we eachneed to do our part in making this factory work well. But, there’s moreto the Minion Factory than just work! We’re going to have a blast, too! You’ll have a great time creating things on our assembly line -- somepeople call that “crafts” -- and exercising in our company gym, otherwise knownas awesome rec. time! You’ll havesnacks in your break room, and our Minion Managers -- look for the peoplewearing ties -- will be with you the entire day, helping you to adjust to yournew life at the Factory. Now, I don’t want you to worry, especially sincethis is your first day on the job, but I did receive word that Corporate Officeis sending a Quality Control Inspector to our factory this week. She’llbe here to monitor our work and see if we’re doing things correctly. So,if you happen to see a lady in a lab coat, let me know. Do you know howminions respond to an emergency? Okay, let’s practice. Bee-doh, bee-doh,bee-doh. Yeah, that’s right! Bee-doh! Good job. Do thatwhenever you see the Inspector. (Inspectorenters stage behind Mr. Manager.) Bee-doh! Yep, you’ve got it. Ohhhhhhh, wait. She’s behind me, isn’tshe? Okay, okay. (Musters strength to turn around.) Hello,Inspector! Welcome to the Minion Factory!

Thank You

: I understand that you are here to performinspections of our factory

Correct. I am here to check the quality of your work….and the quality of your character.

Alright minions, we have to do reallygood things this week!

(Not impressed. Makes anotation on her clipboard.) Being a good minion is not just about doing good things. A good minion is a good servant. And, a good servant has a goodheart. Having a good heart is even more important than doing good things.and whats this]

: Oh! Thisis SERVO! He’s a robot I built here in the factory. SERVO standsfor Strategic Electronic Responsive Voice Operator. He’s kind of my right hand man. But, he normally is able to speak. I’m not sure what’s going on. Let me see if I can fix this. (Fiddleswith the robot and seems embarrassed.)

Hmmmmm, it looks like everything is correct onthe outside, but something isn’t working internally. This reminds me ofsomething important about my inspection here at the Factory. As an inspector, there are only certainthings I can see. I can actually tell who a minion serves by the thingsthey do and say. Words and actions do matter. But, I can’t look atthe heart. Only our Master can see what is inside someone’s heart. And, if someone’s heart is good, they will wantto do good things. A minion shouldn’t do good things just to pass aninspection or impress others. A minion should do good things becausegoodness flows out of their hearts out of their love for their Master.ds an>X]

Inspector, you’ll be pleased to knowthat here at the Minion Factory, our Master is Jesus and His love fills ourhearts and helps us do good things!

Excellent

: Oh, SERVO wants to say something. Poor SERVO. It’s hard when my side-kick isn’t doing well. We’re used to working as a team. (Becomes distracted.) Ooooh! Do you want to see something we’ve been working on lately

Yes, I’d be most interested.

It’s a Teleporter! I can travel anywhere in the world! I have been trying to decide where I should go? I have been thinking maybe ( dramatically pauses)….Egypt!

Wow! That would be impressive to see. Be sure to put safety first. Wear your goggles, please.

When I use the teleporter, I would use the code and off I would go? Inspector you would be able to see me and hear me while I was away in…… Egypt or maybe China.

I’m very impressed, Mr. Manager. Laughingly. But,wherever you go you better come back. We have lots to do today in the Factory! How would you utilize this device in the Factory?

Oh, Minion Carl. This makes me very sad. That mask covers up your real identity. You are a minion in the Minion Factory! This is where you belong!

Yes,and when you spend time with a different master, you'll start to forget your true mission in life.

Minion Carl, we love you. We want you to be safe and stay with the true Master. Kids, can you encourage Minion Carl? Tell him he’s loved and we want him to stay

I am so glad Minion Carl made the wise choice to stay in the Factory and follow Master Jesus! We all can learn something from this. It is important to be loyal to your Master. In fact, that is what I want us to focus on today during Minion Orientation. YourMinion Mission today is to BE LOYAL. (Inspector uses an iPad or walks to a computer on set to cue “Loyal” graphic to appear on screen.) To be loyal means to follow the leader, no matter what. Our Leaders Master Jesus. On the count of three,I want us all to say together, “Follow the Leader” as loud as we can. Ready, 1, 2, 3, “FOLLOW THE LEADER!” Excellent!

Wow,Minions! That’s awesome! You just keep following the Leader and others will be able to see who you serve!

Oh, dear. I’m going to have to cite you for improper use of grammar. (Make Notation on clipboard.) Actually, you should have said “whom” you serve. The “m” is important. Whommm.

Whommmmmmmm

Correct. As part of my inspection, I’d like to find out more about whom the Minions serve.

) Say “Jesus!” >:]

Alright,Minions. Whommm do you serve? (kids respond with “JESUS!”) I’m sorry, I Can't hear you! Whommm do you serve? (“JESUS!”) Louder, please. Whommm do you serve???? (“JESUS!!!!!”) >

Fantastic, Minions! Oh, man, there’s so much to learn and so manyfun things to experience! This is going to be a great day!

Yes, it is! Alright, Minions! One more time. Whommm do youserveWell, I've been pleased with much of what I've seen here at the Factory. I appreciate the efforts given in teaching the minions what it means to be a loyal follower of the Master. High marks for educational training! (Make Notation on clipboard.)

(Makesfist pump.) Yes!

I do have a suggestion for improvement. I think it is important for the Minions to have a reminder of what it means to serveMaster Jesus. I’d like to see you institute a theme verse for the Factory. Might I suggest Joshua 24:15? (Using an iPad or computer on the stage, Inspector will cue the theme verse on screen.) Minions, stand up and let’s say this together, nice and loud. “Choose for yourselves RIGHT NOW” (point to ground and stamp foot with each word when saying “right now”) “whom you will serve. As for me and my family, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!” (Point upward while saying the words “we will serve the Lord”.) Very, very good!

Inspector, I’m so glad you are here and helping us to fine tune what we do at the Factory!

Well,it is vital that the Minions fully understand why they are here and what their jobs are at the Factory. Which gives mean idea: let’s discuss what the different roles are for the Minion crews. When I point to your section, please yell with me the motto for your work crew. (Points to each crew and leads them in their chant.)Minion Electric: Shine the light of Jesus!Minion Waterworks: Share the Living Water!Minion Mechanical: Help those who are broken!Inspector should alternate which section she points to, mixing it up and in various order. For the final time, tell the minions to do their chants all at the same time.

Oh, that sounds so cool! Minions, be sure to talk about what your mottos mean with your Minion Managers. We want you to know what it means to be aservant from the inside out.es New

Speaking of insides, Mr. Manager, how is SERVO doing? Any progress on repairing his voice modulator?

Ummm,no. I plan to work on that this evening;all night if I have to! Minions, be sure to come back to the Factory tomorrow so you can see the new and improved SERVOin action!

Well, I can’t wait to come back to the Factory!
