Basic Aspects of American Government

.

1 -US Gov. is based on written constitution.
A Cons. is a grant of political powers.
Politicos= is the power to solve the problems to settle disputes. They don’t’ give there power to Gov.
Political American political theory is based on idea that people are free and they donate their power to Gov. to impose order and impose laws.
We have hired Gov. and gave them right to Gov. to. Protect us.
Gov. is bodyguard to protect its people. A written constitution is a contract of with a list of things what Gov. can and can’t do.
There are reasonable and unreasonable things a Gov. can do.
1-2 Grants and limit of powers. Granting means limiting at the same time
1-3 The people control content. Most cons. Are adopted by conventions of
delegates. Indirect adoption is the perfect way to do things in US. In
American system are adopted by delegates. In direct adoption of const.
1-4 Amendments (people indirectly control amendments by delegates) people vote for amendments. If a constituonal not controlled by the people then it doesn’t belong to the people it belongs to the controlling authority which is in other words dictatorship. Texas is exceptional here legislators can propose for amendments not people. People vote for in general public elections.
2- Separation of powers (American Gov.’s are divided into 3 branches.)
to give couple of beinine examples some body tried to establish.
1-The power to make laws

2-The power to enforce laws and
3-The power to decide disputes when they arise bcz of those laws or under those laws.

Form of gives people choice who will populate Gov. Texas elect it’s judges
Elections have to be regular and frequent.
Frequent = election after 2 year.
Regular = putting the time in constituent was seen as problems. Legislators can’t change any thing.
Now modern democracy such as Britain and Canada didn’t follow these patterns
In US president can’t decide to reschedule the elections.
Us president can postpone but they will be still leaving the office when there term ends.
States hold presidential election and president have no control over it.

1st BR. was only to limit Federal Gov. Now it limits all states. (on p)
Other then Bill of Rights Basic Aspects of GOV protect our rights.
Some states had there and TX has its now. So it was thought all states should have it.
On the promise that one would be proposed to them after ratification after the Gov. will be created. States agreed. The promise was fulfilled by proposing BR to the sates and was ratified (BR with slight changes). The BR is chief thing to protect us from fed and state Gov. Br. is additional set of limitation that only applies to that constitution. It’s almost universal not quite as. An additional bill as a part of original constitution slightly more focused for protection of your rights.
